Getting Skype

Download the latest version (3.6) of Skype from:

http://skype.com/intl/en/download/

 

Remember your ‘Skype name’.

Add your Skype name to the Skype Names chart on our Padova-Sabanci page in the Interculture Wiki.

 

Be sure to add the other people listed on the Skype Names list to your Skype Contact list (inside Skype go to Tools > Add a Contact).  

Be sure do to this on the computer you use at school. You can also do it on your home computer so you’ll have the opportunity to chat / talk to someone in the Padova-Sabanci project when you aren’t in class.

 

When you open Skype in the Lab you may see someone else's name at the top. If you do, go to File > Sign out. A new box will open. Write in your Skype name and Password and click on the Sign In button. You're ready to Skype!

 

To start a Call  or Chat, look in the top tool bar. To Call one person, select that person's name from list of Contacts. Or yif you want to talk with up to 4 other people (a total of 5, you can Start a Conference Call. If you can't hear the other person, you can go to Chat.
