Contents and Organization
Does it do what it’s supposed to do? This would depend on whether or not there is an Introduction. If there isn't one, should there be one? Is there a table of contents?
There is no introduction but there is a a table of contents. Obviously the introduction, together with the conclusion, plays a meaningful role in a Wiki page, but since this is only a draft, it is quite comprehensible that it misses: this is someting that usually students work on when the whole page is fnished.
Is there a comparison or are there conclusions?
There is a conclusion and a comparison for each topic, that is news in Italy and USA, reality shows in Italy and USA and final shows for young adults in the two countries.
What do you like about it? (be specific)
Considering that the Wiki is not ultimated, we appreciated that the table of contents is very clear and well structured. They used parallelism between topics and this avoid confusion for the reader.
Is there cohesion?
Yes. Most of the sentences are short and well structured.
Is it relatively easy to read? If not, what could the writer do to make it easier for the reader?
Yes, maybe they should mark key words or key concepts using different colours or fonts.
Is there balance and parallelism?
Yes, on the whole we realized that paragraphs are well balanced: first they focus on the history of the channels and later they do the same thing about the kinds of reports and the political orientation of the cahannels and then their role during the wars. It misses, however, the comparison between the two countries.
Is referencing done correctly?
There are links and few references but the latter are not completed, they are just websites.
Are there parts that appear that they should be referenced, but are not?
Yes, for istance, it is obvious that they looked for information about the history of the channels, but we guess that they will add it in the end.
Can you find any instances of plagiarism?
It is quite difficult for us to state it because this a quite new topic for us.
Language
Are there sentence fragments or any run-on sentences?
Are the verb tenses used correctly?
Are there words that need to be checked for spelling?
Are the beginning of sentences and proper nouns capitalized?
Do sentences have appropriate ending punctuation?
Is internal punctuation (comma, colon, semicolon) used appropriately?
Are pronouns used correctly?
Is the appropriate vocabulary used?
You are encouraged to intervene directly on the pages you give peer feedback on if you see particularly evident language mistakes!
Most of the sentences are short but there are still few run-on sentences. We met few difficulties in reading the paragraphs because the layout is still to be defined. Anyway, the vocabulary seems to be suitable and there are no difficult words: specific or unclear words are signaled by comas.
